Condenser Coils
Located on rooftops or in outdoor enclosures, condenser coils are the “rejectors” of the HVAC system. They must be rugged enough to survive the elements while remaining efficient enough to shed heat in high-ambient conditions.
- Standard Air-Cooled Condensers: These are our primary replacements for rooftop units (RTUs) and split-system condensers. We offer multiple fin material options—from standard aluminum to gold-coat or phenolic-precoat—to protect the coil from oxidation and salt air while maintaining high thermal conductivity.
- Remote Condensers: Designed for standalone heat rejection, remote condensers are used when the cooling load is far removed from the compressor, such as in data centers. Alpha Coil builds these with reinforced frames to handle the vibration of large-diameter fans and high-pressure refrigerant flows.
- Microchannel Retrofit: For facilities looking to modernize, our microchannel coils offer a flat-tube design that provides a higher surface-to-volume ratio than traditional round tubes. This results in significantly higher heat transfer efficiency and can reduce a system’s refrigerant charge by up to 40%, supporting both environmental and economic goals.
- Fluid Coolers (Dry Coolers): A sustainable alternative to cooling towers, these closed-loop coils cool water or glycol using ambient air. Because the fluid remains inside a sealed loop, there is no water evaporation or risk of Legionella, making them a low-maintenance, water-saving solution for industrial process cooling and data center loops.
